Community Involvement

Part of Don's involvement in the community involves educating parents and care professionals on planning for individuals with special needs. Don’s in-depth knowledge and strategic partnerships are valuable tools he uses to help families making the right decisions for their children’s future. Don has served as an expert speaker for various organizations in the Greenville Community, including the Meyer Center for Children with Special Needs and the Family Connection – Greenville Chapter.

Through various sponsorship opportunities and donations, Don regularly helps to support programs that enrich the lives of individuals with special needs, including The Meyer Center for Children with Special Needs, The Center for Developmental Services, and South Carolina Special Olympics.

In 2008 Don was appointed Endowment Committee Member of the Meyer Center Capital Campaign. The Center’s facility was purchased in August 2008 and renovations to expand therapy areas, classrooms and administrative areas are underway.
